Give an insight of your design concept:

The idea for my showpiece came from the hoops, twirling around our bodies while centrifugal force takes its effects. My aim is to displace and to distribute the pressure and weigh around the body instead of straining certain points.

Design Concept: Embrace

Icon: Ondine (Harald Naegeli´s Motif)

Give an insight of your design concept:

My work is about the creation of structure through lines laid and formed on the human body. I was inspired by the drawings of the Swiss artist Harald Naegeli, and his Ondine motif - the Ondine being an iconic mythological figure.

Jean-René Wyss (from Switzerland)

Representing: University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, Academy of Art and Design, Institute of Fashion Design, Basel.

Design Concept: Beauty and Disgust

Icon: Hair

Give an insight of your design concept:

Three  different associations we have for hair, lingerie and bodyhair, inspired the beginning of my tentative draft. The degree of beauty and disgust is extremely thin. Using the feminine body and lingerie as some kind of media, my aim was to question all those associations. Can hair be sexy, seductive or even in a way sophisticated, although it covers the whole body?
